Greens Member for North Metropolitan Region Hon Alison Xamon MLC has called on the Minister for Education to reverse her decision to cut funding to the Herdsman Lake Wildlife Centre, calling it “outrageous.”

“This is the latest appalling attack on the education of WA children – and its announcement during the December break was heartless,” Ms Xamon said.

“The Herdsman Lake Wildlife Centre is a vital resource for teaching children living in the metropolitan area about biodiversity and the wonders of the State’s unique environment.

She said the Acting Minister had made the right decision.
