I refer to the section of missing principal shared path in Cottesloe between the Grant Street and North Fremantle train stations, and I ask:
(a) in the absence of a shared path, will the Minister please give details of the route recommended by Department of Transport for people on bikes travelling between the two stations on their way further north or south;

I refer to the memorandum of understanding between the City of Subiaco and the Western Australian government regarding the revocation of the management order over Subiaco Oval and Kitchener Park to allow the site works for the Inner City College.
(1) Will the minister please table this document?
(2) If not, why not?
Greens Member for North Metropolitan Region Hon Alison Xamon MLC has said she is stunned by the Environmental Protection Authority’s decision not to reject a wave park proposed for a conservation area on the banks of the Swan River.
Ms Xamon said given the proposed development is located almost entirely within Bush Forever Site 331 on land that has been earmarked for 20 years for rehabilitation to protect and enhance the adjacent estuary, she would expect a firm ‘no’ from the EPA to any large development on this site.
HON ALISON XAMON (North Metropolitan) [6.20 pm]: As members would be aware, I have spoken quite a number of times on the issue of the Shenton Park Rehabilitation Hospital site. There are some additional developments that I will speak to tonight. There is a general agreement that the patch of bushland that we are talking about is a threatened ecological community because it contains banksia woodland.

I refer to tabled paper 1189 in which the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions provided strong advice regarding the treatment of banksia woodland threatened ecological communities in relation to the clearing application for the Shenton Park Rehabilitation Hospital site, and I note that the agency provided no comment at all on the same clearing required for the subdivision application currently before the WA Planning Commission.
