Alison and the Greens believe freedom of sexuality is a fundamental right, and that acceptance and celebration of people of diverse identities is essential for genuine social justice and equality.
Alison is committed to working for the repeal of all state laws which discriminate on the grounds of sexuality.
LGBTIQ people are two to three times more likely than the broader community to experience depression and anxiety. That is why it is crucial that mental health services specifically for LGBTIQ Western Australians be adequately funded. Alison will continue to highlight Government cutbacks in this area, including the de-funding of Living Proud LGBTIQ Community Services of WA.
