1057. Hon Alison Xamon to the minister representing the Minister for Police:

I refer to police procedure regarding the notification of next of kin following a suspected suicide death, and I ask:

(a)  are police able to advise next of kin/family members that they suspect a death may be suicide;

(b)  if no to (a):

(i)  why not; and

(ii)  will the Minister make the necessary changes to enable police to do so;

297. Hon ALISON XAMON to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Mental Health:

I refer to the mental health accommodation strategy currently being developed by the Mental Health Commission.

(1)  Will a draft version of the strategy be made available for public consultation?

(2)  If yes to (1), when and what will be the length of the consultation period?

(3)  If no to (1), why not?
