That this house notes with concern the plight of homeless people in Western Australia and supports the efforts being made by the government and non-government sectors to address homelessness in Western Australia.

POLICE — MENTAL HEALTH CO-RESPONSE TEAMS

189. Hon Alison Xamon to the minister representing the Minister for Police:

I refer to police and mental health co-response teams, and I ask:

(a) how many incidents were attended by co-response teams in 2016 – 17;

(b) how many incidents in (a) resulted in individuals being referred to mental health clinicians in the community or other community mental health services; and

(c) how many of the incidents in (a) resulted in individuals being transported directly to hospital?
