(1)  Why does the Department of Education not directly provide education services to children and young people at Banksia Hill Detention Centre?

(2)  Will the government consider transitioning the provision of education to the department?

(3)  If yes to (2), when?

(4)  If no to (2), why not?

I refer to the withdrawal of $1,145 per student from schools with enrolments above 1,200 students, and I ask:

(a)  have there been any cuts to staffing, programs or services as the result of the reduction of funding; and

(b)  if yes to (a), please advise the details of:

(i)  how many staff positions have been cut, and at which schools;
