Hon Sue Ellery replied:

The State Government provides funding to community service organisations to provide support to people experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.

The number of crisis beds is not representative of the capacity of the Specialist Homelessness Accommodation service system on any given night. For example: a house that has 6 beds can only accommodate one family regardless of whether it is a family of two or six, and a service that uses shared rooms may only be able to accommodate one person in a room because of a resident’s specific needs.
