I refer to young people accommodated at Banksia Hill Juvenile Detention Centre.
(1) How many young people are currently accommodated at Banksia Hill detention centre?
(2) Of the young people in (1), how many are in Banksia Hill detention centre because there is no appropriate accommodation available for them to be released on bail?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The Department of Justice advises as follows.
(1) There is a total of 137 as at midnight on 9 October 2017.
(2) There are three.
