1479. Hon Alison Xamon to the minister representing the Minister for Police; Road Safety:
I refer to fixed point to point speed cameras as a road safety measure, and I ask:
(a) what are the costs associated with installing a fixed point to point speed camera;
(b) does the Government intend to increase the number of point to point cameras in Western Australia; and
(c) if yes to (b):
(i) how many; and
(ii) what locations?
Hon Stephen Dawson replied:
(a)–(c) The Western Australian Police Force advise that the full installation cost of the Forrest Highway point to point cameras was $1.293 million. The number and location of further point to point speed camera zones would be determined based on killed and serious injury crash data.
