I refer to the Regional Managers Forums, and I ask:
(a) does the Premier intend the Regional Managers Forums to continue to operate;
(b) if no to (a), why not;
(c) does the Premier intend to review how the Regional Managers Forums operate;
(d) if no to (c), why not;
(e) does the Premier intend to enshrine greater involvement of local community managed services in the Regional Managers Forums;
(f) if yes to (e), how; and
(g) if no to (e), why not?
Hon Sue Ellery replied:
(a) Yes.
(b) Not applicable.
(c) With the Machinery of Government changes, the policy associated with Regional Managers Human Services Forums resides with the Department of Communities. The Regional Manager Forums will mirror District Leadership Groups in the future.
(d) Not applicable.
(e) – (f) Regional Management Forums and District Leadership Groups are part of a broader service delivery review that is being undertaken by the Department of Communities. Regional leadership is a primary focus of the future service delivery model and local providers may be part of the District Leadership Groups.
(g) Not applicable.
