STATE CORONER — CT SCANNER

341. Hon Alison Xamon to the Leader of the House representing the Attorney General:

I refer to the need for a CT scanner for the State’s morgue to assist the State Coroner and reduce the need for invasive and time-consuming autopsies, and I ask:

(a)  has the Government committed to making money available to fund the purchase of a CT scanner;

(b)  if yes to (a), when will this money become available; and

(c)  if no to (a), why not?

340. Hon Alison Xamon to the Leader of the House representing the Attorney General:

I refer to the 2012 Law Reform Commission report, Review of Coronial Practice in Western Australia, and to the response to this report that I understand was prepared by the Government of the day, and I ask:

(a)  would the Minister please table the former government’s response to this report; and

(b)  if no to (a), why not?

Hon Sue Ellery replied:

(a)  No.
