CORRECTIVE SERVICES — “THE DIGITAL DIVIDE: ACCESS TO DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY FOR PEOPLE IN CUSTODY” REPORT

1202. Hon Alison Xamon to the minister representing the Minister for Corrective Services:

I refer to the Office of the Inspector of Custodial Services’ report, The Digital Divide: Access to digital technology for people in custody, and I ask:

(a)  does the Minister support improved access to digital technology for people in custody to enable access to:

(i)  online counselling in cells and therapeutic programs;

(ii)  online legal services; and

PRISONS AND DETENTION CENTRES — PSYCHOLOGISTS AND MENTAL HEALTH NURSES

1183. Hon Alison Xamon to the minister representing the Minister for Corrective Services:

I refer to psychologists and mental health nurses employed by, or contracted to, the Department of Corrective Services, and I ask, for each adult prison and for Banksia Hill Detention Centre, will the Minister please provide:

(a)  the number of FTE psychologists for each of the years 2011–2012 to the current financial year; and
