OCEAN REEF MARINA — CAVES

3074. Hon Alison Xamon to the minister representing the Minister for Lands:

I refer to the geotechnical investigations currently in train for the land-side development at Ocean Reef Marina, and I ask:

(a)  should any caves be found in this investigation, will a survey for stygofauna be undertaken; and

(b)  if no to (a), why not?

Hon Stephen Dawson replied:

(a)  In the event of unexpected finds during works, the geotechnical works Contractor has protocols in place with DevelopmentWA to facilitate further investigation.

(b)  Not applicable.
