310. Hon Alison Xamon to the Leader of the House representing the Attorney General:

I refer to the 2012 Law Reform Commission report, Review of Coronial Practice in Western Australia, and I ask:

(a)  which of the 113 recommendations made by the Law Reform Commission have been acted upon;

(b)  of the recommendations which not been acted upon, which ones are supported by the Government;

(c)  does the Government intend to act upon the recommendations in (b);

(d)  if yes to (c), when; and

(e)  if yes to (c), will recommendations requiring legislative change be addressed through the development of a new Coroners Act or amendment to existing legislation?

Hon Sue Ellery replied:

(a)–(e) Recommendations 55 and 56 are reflected in the bill currently before the Council and the remainder are under consideration by the Government.
