3053. Hon Alison Xamon to the minister representing the Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to young people in the youth justice system and I ask, what percentage of sentenced young people released from youth justice detention in 2013–2014, returned to either sentence detention or adult sentenced custody within five years?
Hon Stephen Dawson replied:
84.87% of sentenced young people released from youth justice detention between 1 July 2013 and 30 June 2014 had returned to either sentenced detention or sentenced custody as adult within five years (up to 30 June 2019).
