HEALTH NETWORKS

205. Hon Alison Xamon to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:

I refer to the government established Health Networks, and I ask:

(a) will the Minister please specify which dates each of the following networks met in the 2 016 – 17 financial year:

(i) Cancer and Palliative Care;

(ii) Cardiovascular;

(iii) Child and Youth;

(iv) Diabetes and Endocrine;

(v) Disability;

(vi) Falls Prevention;

(vii) Infections and Immunology;

(viii) Mental Health;

(ix) Musculoskeletal;

(x) Neurosciences and the Senses;

(xi) Renal;

(xii) Respiratory; and

(xiii) Women and Newborns?

Hon Alanna Clohesy replied:

(a) The Department of Health advises:

(i) The WA Cancer and Palliative Care Network (WACPCN) is an operational Network with 40 FTE including Doctors, Nurses, Policy Officers, Project Officers, Business and Administration Teams. WACPCN is operational Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

(ii) – (xiii) The Health Networks referred to in the Member’s question comprise of between 100 to 1000 members each. These networks do not meet, and as such there are no dates that all members of these Health Networks have met during 2016 – 17 financial year.
