400. Hon ALISON XAMON to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:
(1) Between 1 January 2017 and 30 June 2017, how many agencies were advised that their grant agreement with the Department of Health would cease when the current agreement expired on 30 June 2017?
(2) Please list the agencies and/or programs whose grant agreements with the department ended on 30 June 2017.
(3) How much notice were these agencies given of the cessation of their grant agreement funding?
Hon ALANNA CLOHESY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
I am advised the following by the Department of Health .
(1) In accordance with the Delivering Community Services in Partnership policy, all grants are for discrete periods and one-off arrangements. All agencies are advised at the commencement of a grant that the provision of a grant does not commit the grant or — the state government agency — to further funding beyond the term of the grant agreement.
(2) The number of agencies that had the above re-confirmed between 1 January 2017 and 30 June 2017 was seven.
Part 2 of the answer is in quite an extensive table format, so I seek leave to incorporate it into Hansard.
Leave granted.
