Productivity Commission report shows WA training sector needs help

The Productivity Commission’s Report on Vocational Training and Education paints a pretty bleak picture of the training sector in Western Australia, Greens (WA) spokesperson for Training Hon Alison Xamon MLC has said today.

“Enrolments are falling, funding is falling and we are at best, middle of the pack in outcomes achieved for our students,” Ms Xamon said.

“The Report graphically shows the steady reductions in State Funding for training that have occurred over the last few years.

433. Hon Alison Xamon to the Minister for Education and Training:

(1)  Would the Minister please table the Delivery and Performance Agreements for each TAFE college for each of the years 2014 to 2017?

(2)  If no to (1), why not?

(1)  Prior to 11 April 2016, there were 11 TAFE colleges known as State Training Providers. For the years 2014–2015 Delivery and Performance Agreements are provided for:
