DISABILITY SERVICES ACT — REVIEW

1153. Hon ALISON XAMON to the Minister for Disability Services:

I refer to the Disability Services Act 1993.

(1)  Does the minister plan to review the act?

(2)  If yes —

(a)  what is the intended time frame for review;

(b)  who will be consulted; and

(c)  will the minister please table the terms of reference for the review?

1131. Hon ALISON XAMON to the Minister for Disability Services:

I refer to the interface between the National Disability Insurance Scheme and mainstream government services including, but not limited to, public mental health services.

(1)  Are frameworks and/or practice guidelines being developed in Western Australia to provide a strategic approach to ensuring that people experiencing multiple barriers in accessing mainstream services receive targeted support to support them to test their eligibility to access the NDIS?
