I refer to staff at North Metro TAFE and the component colleges prior to the North Metro TAFE’s creation, and I ask:
(a) for each of the last five years could the Minister please provide:
(i) the total number of lecturing staff:
(A) as FTE; and
(B) as employees; and
(ii) the total number of administrative and support staff:
(A) as FTE; and
(B) as employees;
(b) could the Minister please provide for each of the last five years:
(i) the number of applications received for voluntary redundancy for:
(A) lecturing staff; and
(B) administrative and support staff;
(ii) the number of voluntary redundancies completed for:
(A) lecturing staff; and
(B) administrative and support staff; and
(iii) the number of involuntary redundancies completed for:
(A) lecturing staff; and
(B) administrative and support staff; and
(c) could the Minister please provide for each of the last five years:
(i) the number of staff days lost to sick leave each year for:
(A) lecturing staff; and
(B) administrative and support staff;
(ii) the number of staff days lost to stress leave each year for:
(A) lecturing staff; and
(B) administrative and support staff;
(iii) the number of staff members accessing Employee Assistance Programs for:
(A) lecturing staff; and
(B) administrative and support staff;
(iv) the number of staff that have resigned for:
(A) lecturing staff; and
(B) administrative and support staff; and
(v) the number of contracts that have not been renewed for:
(A) lecturing staff;

(a) Figures are based on the last pay date of November for years 2014 to 2018 and include permanent, fixed term contract and casual employees and employees on secondment.
On 11 April 2016, West Coast Institute of Technology and Central Institute of Technology were closed and North Metropolitan TAFE was established in their place.
On 1 January 2017, Midland and Balga campuses of South Metropolitan TAFE became part of North Metropolitan TAFE.
