Integrity of Government

Alison and the Greens want greater transparency in the way government deliberates, makes decisions and implements actions to ensure the public can hold governments accountable.

Integrity of Government is a key issue for Alison and was a significant focus of Alison’s work during the 38th Parliament. Alison believes all Western Australians deserve to be able to access their Member of Parliament without worrying that they need to have money to be able to do so. Big business should not be able to buy political influence.

This term, Alison has re-introduced the Electoral Amendment Bill (Access to Ministers) Act 2017 to restrict access to Ministers and is working on a number of additional measures to ensure that the integrity of our democratic system is respected and upheld.
