How we can help

In order for Alison to provide a truly independent voice in Parliament, she needs to know your concerns. Please contact the office if you know of something happening in the East Metropolitan region which concerns you.

As such, Alison is a conduit for the community to the parliamentary process, giving you direct access to the decision makers. In this context, our office can:

  • Ask your questions of Ministers - answers are on the public record
  • Initiate debate in Parliament on a range of issues
  • Research issues through the Parliamentary library and other sources
  • Lobby ministers and government departments on your behalf
  • Attempt to introduce or modify legislation in Parliament
  • Visit groups or communities with particular concerns
  • Attend meetings or functions where an independent voice is required
  • Conduct company searches
  • Connect you with other people or groups with similar concerns
  • Advise you of impending legislation, for your comment
  • Publicise issues through the media
