(1) Can the Minister specify the number of abandoned quarries in these regions?

City of Swan fails to listen to ratepayers and approves Red Hill Quarry

Last night the City of Swan approved the controversial extension of the Hanson quarry at Red Hill against the advice of the EPA and against the wishes of many in its own community, says Greens East Metro MP Alison Xamon.


 "This is an extremely disappointing decision,” Ms Xamon said.


“It is completely at odds with what the community wants, and  what the community has been asking for from its council.


“This decision is particularly concerning since the EPA was so clear in its advice that the quarry expansion should not proceed.
